Today saw the first of three flights totalling 9 hours and 21 minutes. The first flight was from Prestwick International Airport in Scotland to Reykjavik in Iceland. A distance of 914 nautical miles and took 3 hours and 8 minutes. Interestingly, the flight plan took me north past Dundee and Perth in Scotland and I exited Scotland flying over Thurso. The flight plan then had me headed North-West to the Faroe Islands where I passed the southern tip of the island. Then it was in a South-West direction to Reykjavik.
Below are a few photos from this first leg of the World Tour. Everything has to start somewhere .... right? :-)
Gallery below is in order of flying from Scotland through a rain squall between Scotland and the Faroe Islands and then to Iceland and landing at Reykjavik. All pictures can be individually clicked on to enlarge.
Next flight to be published will be Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq in Greenland.
